Genesis 29:18-31
And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for
Rachel thy younger daughter. And Laban said, [It is] better that I
give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man: abide
with me. And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed
unto him [but] a few days, for the love he had to her. And Jacob
said unto Laban, Give [me] my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that
I may go in unto her. And Laban gathered together all the men of the
place, and made a feast. And it came to pass in the evening, that he
took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto
her. And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid [for] an
handmaid. And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it [was]
Leah: and he said to Laban, What [is] this thou hast done unto me?
did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou
beguiled me? And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country,
to give the younger before the firstborn. Fulfil her week, and we
will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with
me yet seven other years. And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week:
and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also. And Laban gave to
Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid. And he went
in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and
served with him yet seven other years. And when the Lord saw that
Leah [was] hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel [was] barren.
Exodus 21:8-9
If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself,
then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation
he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her
after the manner of daughters.
Exodus 22:16
And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her,
he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
Leviticus 19:20
And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that [is] a bondmaid,

Deuteronomy 20:7
And what man [is there] that hath betrothed a wife, and hath not

battle, and another man take her.
Deuteronomy 22:23-28
If a damsel [that is] a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a
man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them
both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with
stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, [being] in
the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife:
so thou shalt put away evil from among you. But if a man find a
betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with
her: then the man only that lay with her shall die: But unto the
damsel thou shalt do nothing; [there is] in the damsel no sin
[worthy] of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour,
and slayeth him, even so [is] this matter: For he found her in the
field, [and] the betrothed damsel cried, and [there was] none to
save her. If a man find a damsel [that is] a virgin, which is not
betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
Deuteronomy 28:30
Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou
shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt
plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
2 Samuel 3:14
And David sent messengers to Ishbosheth Saul's son, saying, Deliver
[me] my wife Michal, which I espoused to me for an hundred foreskins
of the Philistines.

2 Corinthians 11:2
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused
you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to
Christ.
